Havana has a very special beach that many overlook due to the tendency to go to the nearby Guanabo (Santa Maria del Mar). However, east of the capital, between the tunnel and the city of Cienfuegos, is Playa del Chivo. This area, very frequent by shore fishermen, is home to an abundance of sardines and mackerels, but above all, a large variety of birds that, during the cold front, are found on this stretch of coast. A place known to Cubans, but certainly unknown to tourists!
